Running and Strength Trainging
A big event like marathon running takes lots of preparation beforehand. For most runners, a running a marathon will take about sixteen weeks of coaching to be in order to be in shape in body and mind to complete the race. Although most coaching schedules don’t have the person run more than twenty miles before the race day as the longest run, this is not a deterrent from having the ability to run the twenty-six mile race proficiently. More advanced runners may modify the schedule that they use in the way to run a marathon, except for beginning and intermediate runners, this is a common schedule.
Figuring out a way to run a marathon does take time and commitment. Not only is it a three month coaching schedule, but some of the runs may take many hours to complete. This means that the person must be able to take time away from other commitments in order to do these runs 4 days per week. This is often more than people can handle and they can opt to run a half marathon instead that has the same period of time for coaching but the runs are not as long. There are some schedules that are twenty-six weeks long, but those are customarily for runners who have not had much other experience in running and have to start from scratch.
