Prescription drops and preservative-free tears are then utilized in order to moisturize the eyes. Much sleep is also required of the patient in order to hasten the recovery period. The eyes must also be protected from vivid and bright lights by using dark-colored eye gear. Protective goggles are also required to prevent the rubbing of the eyes which may deal damage to the eyes when sleeping.
